Obviously I have big plans for my Mini. I thought I'd take the time to try and catalog a few of my ideas and on this page.
What interior isn't complete without a set of genuine Rover alloy door furniture. These are gorgeous and make any Mini instantly more modern.
UPDATE: While they may not be genuine Rover, I did pick up a set of alloy door furniture. You can check it out in the blog. Here is them installed on my custom door panels.

This is an alternative set of furniture available from DSN Classics that is more complete, but more expensive. I'm on the fence about whether or not it's nicer than the OEM stuff, but they're very nice.
One of the least inspiring parts of my Mini is the door panels and dash. They are very dated and in need of replacement. I'm thinking of making my own dashboard out of MDF and covering it in carbon fiber vinyl. The picture here is courtesy of jb93 on The Mini Forum.
I've also been thinking about covering my dash rails in suede. It looks like I'm not the only one that has had this thought. Summs16 on The Mini Forum has done this fantastic looking dash setup.
These are the door panels I'm toying with making. I'd like to go with carbon fiber and leather. I'm also thinking of covering the dash pads in suede.
UPDATE: I've actually completed making these door panels. You can read about it in my blog and check out the tutorial that I made

I do like the ivory gauges in the new Mini Sportspack cars. Not only are they more attractive than the standard gray ones, but I'm color blind and find it very difficult to see where the needle is. A company called Gallileo Gauges makes some nice overlays.
Along with all these ideas, I'm eventually going to replace the carpet, headliner and install a roll cage. I think the roll cage will be the last to install but the carpet is a necessity.
There's not much that I'm going to do to the exterior. I think it's in pretty good shape, but I would like to differentiate it a bit by putting some nice wheels and a set of Sportspack arches. The car is already set up for 12" wheels and ride quality is severely compromised with 13" wheels. I'd like to go with some wide 12x6. The car pictured at the left is Pauly's from The Mini Forum and it's wearing a set of 12x6 Softline Superlights. I think it is gorgeous and shows just how excellent a set of 12x6 wheels can look. I have showcased another car with the same 12x6 wheels in my blog.
UPDATE: I have finally sourced myself a set of lovely used 12x6 wheels. Check it out here!

wish list
So I have an idea of what I want my Mini to look like, but I'm gonna need some stuff to get there:
- Coil Suspension: Sir Alec sure knew how to make the Mini handle but 50 years changes a lot
- Valve Cover: OK, so the rest of the engine could use some attention as well
- Headliner: Like the carpet, the headliner is stained and nasty and in need of replacement
- Roll Cage: Safety isn't a Mini's forte so a roll cage would do wonders - Bought it!
- Radiator: Boring, but an essential part of the system
- 12x6 Wheels: I think these wheels would go a long way in adding a custom flare to the Mini - Got 'em!
- Sportspack Arches: You can't have a set of serious wheels without a set of nice arches - Bought it!
