Everybody should drive a Mini; everybody should own a Mini at some point, or you are incomplete as a human being

welcome
I still remember traveling to England as a kid and falling in love with the classic Mini. 20 years ago, you couldn't turn a corner without seeing dozens of old minis. From Coopers, to Mini 1000s, they were everywhere. I vowed that I would own one. I bought Mini World and Mini Magazine, model after model, books and t-shirts. It wouldn't be until I was 10 that I got to go for a ride in a Mini. It was a moment that I savored, but unfortunately, didn't get repeated for another 15 years.
More recently, it seems that the Mini has become a much rarer vehicle and there are fewer and fewer of them on the road. On my last trip, I could count the number of Classic Minis I saw on both hands. Lucky for me, there was one Mini I did get to spend a little extra time with.

Marvin: My cousin's Mini
While in England, I actually got to drive my first Mini. It belonged to my cousin and I absolutely fell more deeply in love with the Mini. I didn't care that it was slow on the highway, the speedometer was inaccurate and the windows has to stay open to keep the car from smelling like gas. I HAD to have one.
It wasn't the first time I had tried to buy one. I'd seen a few Minis in person over the years, but none of them felt right. However, as luck would have it, a month or so after my return, I was driving my Mini into the garage!

I've decided to create this site to hopefully track some of the changes I plan on making to my Mini. It may not be perfect, but I love it and I can't wait to share the changes that it is going to go through. I'm also going to try to store some of the more useful information I've found from across the internet. So check out the blog and I hope you enjoy your time here and my Mini as much as I do!
